Getting a minor in graphic communication meant that I got to spend a lot of my time playing with various forms of media. Below are some of the projects that I worked on.

Graphic Design: Rebranding

These were samples I made for a mock McDonald’s McCafe rebrand. I wanted the design to be minimalist and monochromatic but still feature the universally recognized golden arches.

Drawing: Charcoal

One of my first semesters, I took a drawing class with a quirky Australian teacher from the School of Visual Arts. I had no expectation since I hadn’t taken an art class since middle school but it ended up being one of my favorite classes ever.

Photography and Layout Design: Practice

The task for this project was to wander around a neighborhood and capture various views, both micro and macro. I like cool grey tones and ended up moving to Williamsburg two years later.

Typography and Layout Design: Misc.

I often made flyers for school events as practice for my typographic design classes. My favorite font families are Futura, Bebas Neue, Avenir and Baskerville.
